1. What We Collect
When you use Voca, we collect the following information:
- Email address — provided at the start of the speech creation process, used to save your progress and deliver your speech.
- Names — your name, the name of the person you are speaking about, and their partner's name (if applicable). Used only within your speech.
- Conversation responses — the answers you provide during the guided conversation. Used solely to generate your speech.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider). We never see or store your credit card number.
- Voice recordings — if you use voice input, audio is sent to our transcription service, converted to text, and immediately discarded. We do not store audio files.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your personalized speech based on your conversation responses.
- To save your progress so you can resume your session later.
- To send you your completed speech via email.
- To send abandoned session reminders (you can opt out by not providing an email, though email is required to save progress).
- To process your payment through Lemon Squeezy.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not use your conversation content to train AI models.
- We do not share your speech content with anyone other than you.
- We do not send marketing emails beyond session-related reminders.
- We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database hosting (your session data and speech content).
- OpenRouter — AI processing (conversation and speech generation). Your conversation data is sent to AI models for processing but is not used for model training.
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing. Subject to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — email delivery.
- Vercel — website hosting.
5. Data Retention
Your session data (conversation responses, generated speech) is retained for 90 days after your last activity, after which it is automatically deleted. Paid speeches are retained for 1 year to allow you to access them again.
You can request immediate deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to authenticated server-side connections only. We do not store passwords (there are no user accounts). Payment data is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and never touches our servers.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent for email communications.

8. Children's Privacy
Voca is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Voca after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
